These turn-key ModBoxes combine the best available optoelectronics components to provide state of the art optical pulse performances.

Capable of delivering 30 ps to several 100 ns pulses, the ModBox-PG is an Optical Pulse Generator ModBox that produces high-quality square or super-Gaussian optical pulses in the NIR and C-band optical windows. Capable of shaping 125 ps to several 100 ns pulses, the ModBox-PS is an Optical Pulse Shaper ModBox that produces high-quality pre-shaped optical pulses in the NIR and C-band optical windows. The Pulse Shaper provides a high dynamic extinction ratio with user adjustable pulse duration, repetition rate and temporal pulse shape. This systems is very useful to pre-compensate for pulse distortion that occurs in optical amplifier chains.

The ModBox-SB is an efficient solution for spectral broadening of 0.3 nm and even 1 nm or more, it is useful feature to suppress the Stimulated Brillouin Scattering caused in optical fibers by high fluxes of highly coherent light. The ModBox-SB is triggered by an electrical signal (for instance delivered by the ModBox-FE) to synchronize the pulse broadening effect with the incoming optical pulse.

The ModBox-PP allows to Pick any Pulse or pulse sequence from an incoming pulse train and acts as a fast gate with low insertion loss and high optical extinction ratio. The ModBox-PP is available in the NIR and C-band windows and can be used for pulse shaping in addition to lowering the repetition rate of your pulse train.

The ModBox-DER is an equipment to measure Very High Extinction Ratios of sub-ns optical pulses from 100 ps in the NIR window. This diagnosis system is based on a repeatable measurements design that can provide a real time measurement of critical optical pulse parameters (pulse contrast, optical insertion loss over time) to monitor potential drift the quality of a pulse train.
