The gain medium is a silica double clad (DC) polarization-maintaining (PM) Thulium-Holmium Doped Fiber (THDF) from exail exhibiting a codoped (Tm3+ Ho3+) core of 20 µm diameter (NA = 0.11) and a 300-µm circular pump cladding (NA = 0.46). All FBGs utilized in this study were produced by exail.
